Unity 101 Community Radio
Cultural Media Enterprise Limited is an independent locally based voluntary organisation, operating as Unity101 Community Radio. Our philosophy is 'By the community, for the community and to the community', and our aim is promote and broadcast the music and culture of Asian and minority ethnic communities in Southampton. A culturally sensitive programme will meet the training, skills, and capacity needs of our volunteers and listeners, so as they are better able to participate more fully in a cohesive society.

Nelson Mandela 1918 - 2013

At 8pm on Saturday 7th December, we'll airing a special one-hour commemorative show dedicated to the former President of South Africa and icon for peace, Nelson Mandela, presented by Don John and Jim Baker.
BEFFTA Awards Vote Now
Unity 101 and our very own Veronica Gordon have been nominated for this year's Black Entertainment Film Television and Arts Awards. The 5th annual BEFFTA awards will be held in London on the 25th and 26th of October 2013, but we need your support. Please vote for Unity 101 in the Radio Station of the Year category, and for Veronica Gordon for Radio Personality of the Year. International Peace Walk
Ram Kalyan Kelly along with 50 other local people took part in the international peace walk through the Southampton Parks. The walk started at the Peace Fountain where every one was encouraged to sing songs of peace.
PSB 45th Boat Show
Unity 101 Radio presenters Taramati and Archna attended the 45th PSB Boat Show at West Quay Southampton, where they had the honour to interview English sailor Sir Robin Knox Johnston CBE, RD and Bar. In 1968 he become the first man to perform a single handed non-stop circumnavigation (sailing) around the world.
