#WorldRadioDay spotlights Youth & Radio
February 13th is the UNESCO World Radio Day and its theme this year is Youth & Radio
At Unity 101, we provide a range of opportunities for young people in Southampton. One such project is our #StudentTakeover, where we give valuable learning, training and hands-on radio broadcasting experience to local students. Through #StudentTakeover, we designed and built radio studios – or improved them, where studios were already present – in local schools and colleges. We then train their staff and students in all aspects of radio broadcasting to enable each school/college to present its own weekly radio programme on 101.1FM.
