With colourful festivals, rich cultural heritage and delicious cuisine, Gujarat has become one of the most visited states in India. There are very few hidden gems in Gujarat that we don’t know exist. Here are 8 facts about Gujarat that you didn’t know:

1. Record number of airports:
Did you know that there are 14 airports in Gujarat? Yes, you heard that right! This means you can fly from almost anywhere in the country to anywhere in the state. This allows you to easily access the countless cultures that call Gujarat home.

2. The longest coastline:
It may be hard to believe, but Gujarat has the longest coastline, stretching approximately 1,215 kilometers. There are now 1,215 kilometers of beaches to help you make the most of your Gujarat vacation packages!

3. Amul and Anand:
If you don’t know, Gujarat is one of the largest dairy production brands in the country. Anand started in 1946 and is the base of Amul. If you are a fan of the brand, then you must visit this place.

4. The greenest city:
Gandhinagar, 23 kilometers away from Ahmedabad, is considered the greenest city in Asia. It is said that about 50% of the city’s territory is covered by vegetation. With so much vegetation, there is no doubt that the air is as pure as possible!

5. The safest state:
Gujarat is known as one of the safest states in the country. Compared with other states, this state has the lowest crime rate, which is definitely a good guarantee for tourists.

6. Diamond Center:
Surat is another place on the list as a diamond trading center. This city refines approximately 80% of the world’s diamonds. Although we cannot guarantee that you will get a lot of dazling riches during your visit, visiting the Diamond City should be your list of things to do in Gujarat.

7. Higher sugar consumption:
It is known that the state consumes the most sugar in the country. This may explain the long list of delicious sweets that everyone in the country likes.

8. Vegetarian land:
Gujarat is a land of vegetarians. Most brands that have branches here have completely vegetarian menus. In any case, this should not stop you from trying their cuisine. No matter what you try, it will make you want more!
